Our client’s existing deck and timber sleepers had rotted beyond repair, so we were asked to strip everything out and build a replacement that would make the most of the garden’s standout feature: an uninterrupted view over the neighbouring nature reserve.
This was a more complex build than most. The deck sits well above ground level, so the entire structure needed to be raised on support posts, each one set in concrete to guarantee long-term stability on the sloping site. With the old materials cleared away, we constructed a new softwood deck complete with a sturdy timber balustrade, creating a safe, elevated platform where the owner can sit out and enjoy the reserve in every season.
The finished deck is solid underfoot, built to last, and left spotless on completion, exactly as you’d expect from over 30 years of landscaping across Poole and Bournemouth
